2023 was a busy year at the food pantry in Adel, Iowa. 1450 families visited to shop the shelf stable pantry items that includes meat and dairy items when available. In addition there were another 3200 visits for fresh food (often called rescue food) which is perishable food donated by local stores.

The pantry also helps feed children through a weekend “backpack program” during the school year, and Kid’s Food Packs during the summer months.
