We will be offering Kid Food Packs this summer and need volunteers to help with distribution at the Adel Farmer’s Market each week. Volunteers will hand out pre-packed food bags to kids that stop at the Good Samaritan Food Pantry van parked at the Farmer’s Market.
Time: 4-7pm on Tuesday’s (June – Aug.)
Location: Fullers Parking Lot, 718 Green Street, Adel
Adults, youth 16+, or kids accompanied by an adult are welcome. (min. of 2 per shift recommended)

*Once you have signed up, a Good Samaritan Food Pantry Staff or Board Member will contact you regarding your shift. Food packs will be distributed from the Good Samaritan Food Pantry Van located at the Adel Farmers Market (located behind Scooter’s Coffee).

About the Summer Kid Food Pack Program
Summer Kid Food Packs is an extension of the weekend BackPack Program offered during the school year. The summer program offers a special pack of kid-friendly foods that provides a source of nutrition for youth in need. They will include 7 breakfast items, 7 lunches, and 14 snacks. Summer Kid Food Packs will also be available during regular hours at the Good Samaritan Food Pantry (215 N. 11th St. in Adel; Mon. & Tues. Noon-2 p.m. & the Fourth Monday of the Month).
