Rescued Food and the Food Pantry

Here at Good Samaritan Food Pantry, every week we rescue hundreds of pounds of perishable food from a variety of retailers in the western suburbs of the Des Moines metro.

These food items are still fresh and edible, and are available to all our patrons every week on both Monday and Tuesday.

We are so thankful for our rescue partners, Fresh Thyme WDM,  Fareway Adel, Aldi Waukee, Mills Civic HyVee, HyVee Fast and Fresh Jordan Creek, HyVee Fast and Fresh Waukee, Panera as well as Kum & Go stores in Adel, DeSoto.

Good Samaritan is helping reduce wasted food and getting it to the folks who can use it in Dallas County.
